On Tuesday, November 18th, Bridges for Music will host a moderated music industry workshop featuring BBC Radio 1 host Heidi and South African artist Culoe de Song in Cape Town’s Langa township.
Drawing on years of experience as a radio resident and Jackathon event promoter, Heidi will discuss her journey as a woman in the music industry. Fresh off acclaimed Innervisions release Y.O.U.D., which hit No. 1 on Resident Advisor’s Top 50 DJ Chart this month, Culoe de Song will speak about his rise to prominence and the role of a South African artist seeking to establish a career in the current music climate.
The event will take place from 5 to 7:30 pm at Langa’s Tsoga Centre, located at 365 Washington Road.
Visiting South Africa in partnership with Olmeca Tequila and Mixmag’s “Switch on the Night” documentary series, both artists will be playing at Cape Town club ERA directly following the event.
