We are happy to share these pictures with you of the construction of our upcoming music & entrepreneurship academy in Langa (South Africa). This project which was kickstarted and funded by Resident Advisor and the Cycle 2 ADE campaign is our most ambitious project to date. After some unexpected challenges along the way, including the worst storm in Cape Town in 30 years, we are back on track and phase 1 of the building is looking promising and exciting. Once this phase is completed in the next month, we will start phase 2, which consists of the computer lab, main recording studio, lecture hall and offices. Thanks to all the partners and private donors that have stuck with us throughout all these challenges.

We experienced one of the most special evenings on our journey so far, our first gala dinner with Ultra South Africa to support the construction of the Music & Entrepreneurship school in Langa, Cape Town. It was an evening full of magical moments in the form of music, art and inspirational talks from members of the Langa community.
Thanks to all the bidders for their generosity and especially to the biggest bidder of the night DJ SNAKE who went all in to support the cause. Also big thanks to Skrillex for bidding via Facetime. We extend our thanks to Mum-z, Katlego Maboe, Alice Phoebe Lou, Thabo MObo, Natasha, Jessica Jay Lange, Amie Elliot and everyone who donated at the auction: Lionel Smit, Daya Heller, IAM (filming non profit in Langa), Cape Town Club, Kristian Schmidt, Olwethu, ZOJA, International Music Summit and Thunder City for their contributions. To all the artists that came support: DJ SNAKE, KSHMR, Nic Fanciulli, DJ FRESH (SA) and Euphonik DJ, we thank you too. Finally our partners: Ultra South Africa, Heineken, Belvedere Vodka, Moët & Chandon Italia, SAE Institute Cape Town, Pioneer DJ, Red Bull Studio and Nederburg Wines , all of which helped us pull off this event. We are excited to see the power of music and this community make a difference.

For the first time since the South African festival's inception, the biggest international artists and an amazing range of local talents performing at ULTRA SA 2017, will gather together the night before the festival starts at a fundraising event for Bridges for Music.
In partnership with various sponsors, we will host a special gala dinner full of surprise performances at the iconic Cape Town Club on Thursday.
This year the Bridges for Music and Ultra have curated a very special evening with attendance confirmed by DJ Snake, KHSMR, Nic Fancuilli, Fresh and Euphonik, with local much-loved comedian, Mumz, there too.
The dinner will include a welcome cocktail, a tantalizing menu designed by the Cape Town Club, surprise performances and a live auction where attendees will have access to win unique prizes.
Shaun Duvet, Partner in ULTRA South Africa, says: "We are excited to host this type of event with Bridges for Music, bringing the dance music community together to support a great cause is very close to our hearts. We are happy to be able to work with such talented and generous people to work towards such an exciting achievement."
This is a very exclusive event and limited tables and tickets are available.
